You will participate in field checks, material reviews, and project reporting across various phases of construction. As a Transportation Technician, you will perform the following duties:* Construction Inspection: Inspect roadway and structure construction phases to verify conformance with codes and specifications* Material Review: Check placement and quality of concrete, bituminous materials, drainage items, and other construction components* Compaction Testing: Perform visual compaction checks of soils, aggregates, and subsurface layers* Project Documentation: Record diary entries, calculations, sketches, and quantity estimates manually or electronically* Progress Reporting: Produce reports, track material quantities, and monitor project schedules throughout construction* Field Coordination: Communicate with staff, agencies, and contractors while assisting in resolving field issuesInterested in learning more?
