Bucks County Community College is seeking a Part-Time Security and Safety Officer to provide assistance, protection, and safety of students and staff while protecting property against threats such as fire, theft, and vandalism. The officer renders emergency medical assistance as needed, and patrols buildings, grounds and parking lots for hazards, problems, etc. This position enforces college regulations pertaining to motor vehicles and student codes of conduct. This position monitors and regulates traffic flow into parking lots and checks for violations. Responsibilities also include locking and unlocking buildings and campus gates, investigating campus incidents and files reports, and assisting police, fire and EMS personnel with responses pertaining to campus events, activities, and/or emergencies.

Base Starting Salary: $19.9158/hr. Additional $1.50/hr. included for applicants with EMT certification. Advanced degrees, First Responder and Emergency Responder Certifications also qualify for hourly bonus. Eligible for our college-funded retirement plan through TIAA. Eligibility is the first day of employment.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all required background checks and clearances, including, but not limited to, a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check, a pre-placement physical, and a pre-employment drug screening that tests for controlled substances, including marijuana (THC). This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as part of the job duties. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and successfully complete a motor vehicle records check.
