Accounting Clerk

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a manufacturing company local to Philadelphia, PA. We are in search of an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will support the Finance team with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities within a large, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role contributes directly to financial reporting accuracy, helps maintain internal controls, and partners cross-functionally with Operations, Distribution, and Corporate Finance. Ideal candidates have 23 years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production setting.

Hourly Rate: $21.63$26.44/hr Location: Philadelphia, PA 19112 Schedule: Full-time Type: Temp-to-Perm Industry: Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with weekly income statement estimates and preparation.
  • Prepare and enter journal vouchers.
  • Maintain weekly reporting for both corporate and local operations.
  • Support the period, quarter, and year-end accounting close process.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare related quarterly and annual schedules.
  • Provide support, backup, and cross-training for Company Routes & Distributor Accounting processes.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable activities as needed.
  • Monitor, follow up, and support collection efforts related to Customer Trade Receivables.
  • Assist in preparing the annual financial planning process, including capital budgeting.
  • Support individual and quarterly product costing activities.
  • Assist in preparing personal property tax and business license filings.
  • Work with the Controller and other departments to ensure adherence to SOX and Internal Audit requirements, including inventory management controls.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including meeting work schedules, following attendance policies, and adhering to operating rules and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 23 years of accounting experience, internships included.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP standards.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, BlackLine, and familiarity with SEC reporting is a plus.
Essential Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Finance degrees will be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems.
