PeopleShare has an opening for a Process Operator in Pennsauken, NJ. This individual is responsible for preparing and batching products according to standardized recipes ("Cook Cards") and customer specifications. The role focuses heavily on quality control, food safety, and accurate documentation within a production/manufacturing environment.

Title: Process Operator

Location: Pennsauken, NJ 08110

Type: 4-month contract-to-hire

Pay: $19.67/hr (plus $1.50 shift differential)

Schedule: 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating 12 hour 2-2-3 shifts (3 day weekend off every other week!)

Key Responsibilities

• Batching & Production
o Measure and add raw ingredients into kettles and processing equipment
o Follow Cook Cards (includes brix, pH, acid levels, etc.)
o Set up, start, and shut down processing equipment

• Quality & Compliance
o Perform quality checks using analytical tools
o Verify materials (codes, lot numbers, weights)
o Monitor and document critical control points
o Escalate any food safety, contamination, or quality concerns immediately

• Documentation & Communication
o Complete batch records accurately in real time
o Use systems like RedZone
o Communicate issues across shifts

• Sanitation & Safety
o Clean kettles, pumps, utensils, and work areas
o Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
o Adhere to PPE and safety standards
o Participate in CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes

Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Minimum 6 months of food processing/cooking experience
• Ability to use basic tools (knives, pumps, scales)
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures (or willingness to learn)

Core Skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Basic math skills (addition, multiplication, weights/volumes)
• Basic reading/comprehension of SOPs and safety documents
• Team communication

Physical & Work Environment
• Frequent standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 100 lbs with assistance)
• Exposure to: Loud noise; Heat/cold environments; Chemicals, fumes, allergens
• Machinery and mechanical parts
• Physically demanding role with full-range movement required
