Overview The Loan Officer Assistant role supports the Loan Officer team in efficiently moving loans through the pipeline by providing effective sales system support and document control and organization.Primary Responsibilities Provide a seamless experience for mortgage customers by ensuring organization, accuracy, and timeliness of all communications including requests for documentation, coordination of details, and appropriate follow‑up with the assigned loan officer or team.Serve as a subject matter expert on all relevant mortgage sales systems to accurately input and manage customer data and documents.Maintain responsibility for quality and precision of data.Interact directly with customers to follow up on and complete the application process and other documents as needed.Answer other relevant customer inquiries as required.Reach out to the Operations team as needed for further support and information.Assist the loan officer with reporting needs, including creation of new reports, running, monitoring, and issuing existing reports, and organizing data collection.Maintain current knowledge of mortgage products, processes, procedures, and relevant regulations.Provide general sales, marketing, and operational support for the assigned loan officer or team as needed.Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators.Ensure compliance with registration requirements under the Federal SAFE Act.Complete other related duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications Associate degree and a minimum of 2 years equivalent work experience, or a combined minimum of 4 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years related experience.Knowledge of Secondary Marketing requirements.Knowledge of FHA/VA regulations.Knowledge of bank products and services.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Flexible to travel within the region and work overtime or on a flexible schedule as needed.Compensation The pay range for this position is $20.55 - $34.25 hourly (USD).Location Cherry Hill, New Jersey, United States of AmericaEqual Opportunity Employer M&T Bank is unwavering when it comes to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, age, disability, citizenship, pregnancy, veteran status, military status, marital status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local laws.#J-18808-Ljbffr
