OverviewThe County Caseworker 2 role with the Delaware County Department of Human Services offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. You will join a team that values compassion, training, and growth.We offer a supportive work environment, an excellent benefit package and opportunities for career advancement.ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments, investigations, and case management for identified cases.Provide guidance to children and families in areas such as home safety, budgeting, and daily living skills.Arrange and monitor foster care placements.Travel to homes, hospitals, and community settings to meet family needs.Make referrals and advocate for services that improve outcomes for children and youth.Work Schedule and Additional InformationFull-time employment.Work hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30 minute lunch.Telework: No telework for the first six months. After six months and regular status, hybrid work may be available per program office schedule.Monitoring and communication via email; check spam/junk folders.QualificationsSix months experience as a County Caseworker 1; or successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or a bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or a bachelor's degree supplemented by 12 college credits in related social sciences and one year professional social casework experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in related social sciences.Applicants within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits will be considered as meeting educational requirements.Other RequirementsPA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal RequirementsYou must pass a background investigation.Position falls under Child Protective Services Law.
