This position is responsible for preparing detailed American Institute of Architects AIA (AIA) billings and managing change order documentation for general contractors. With every invoice sent and every ledger balanced, you ensure our projects don't just build structures, they build trust and profitability.Responsibilities and Qualifications Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & ComplianceEnsure billing practices are in full compliance with contract termsPrepare and send out monthly Payment Applications/Invoices to General ContractorsExecute and invoice job-specific change orders in a timely and accurate mannerProcess and manage lien releases as requiredProject Financial Analysis & ReconciliationPrepare monthly project analyses to confirm that billing goals and revenue targets are meComplete job statement reconciliations and provide clear financial analysisPartner with collections and accounting teams to reconcile any variances in payment applicationsCommunication & CoordinationMaintain clear communication with internal and external Project Managers regarding monthly billing status and change ordersServe as a liaison between finance and operations to support accurate and timely billing workflowsAdditional Responsibilities & MiscellaneousPerform other duties as assigned to support Accounting and corporate objectivesQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred1-2 years of prior Project Accounting/Billing Analyst experienceAIA Billing Experience preferredExperience in the construction industry preferredProven experience to effectively communicate between internal and external client stakeholders is requiredAbility to work well under deadlines and respond to changes in prioritiesExceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precisionAdvanced computer skills in MS OfficeAttention to detailAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamCompensation and Benefits Reports ToProject Accounting ManagerCompensationThe listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
