This person utilizes their data-centric mind to extract data from within our ERP system to plan and schedule the work throughout our shop. The Production Planner is responsible for utilizing data to develop schedules.Responsibilities Extract and analyze data from ERP and other systems to create current and forecasted needs; review historical data to set part parameters; establish production standards for work center schedulingCreate, update, and maintain schedules for multiple departmentsCreate jobs and priorities based on the current and projected needs of the companyAnalyze inventory levels across multiple phases of manufacturing to understand priority needs and job sizesCommunicate scheduling conflicts with management throughout the production processDirect and assist the Production Control Coordinators and Material Handlers with production prioritiesUtilize Epicor to track the status of current jobs and update the production team with any discrepancies during the production processRequirements Minimum 2 years manufacturing planning experience in an MRP-supported environmentSome college and CPIM or other relevant certification preferred.
