Rutgers University Law School seeks an Administrative Coordinator, reporting to the Senior Department Administrator Supervisor. The Administrative Coordinator provides confidential and comprehensive administrative support to the Law School. This position serves as the point of contact for faculty, students, staff, and adjunct instructors, supporting the day-to-day operations of the school and ensuring the efficient coordination of academic and administrative activities. Responsibilities include: maintaining confidential records, preparing and distributing communications, and coordinating meetings.
The Administrative Coordinator assists with academic and operational functions, classroom assignments, faculty and lecture/instructor support, lecture onboarding and contract preparation, and maintenance of departmental records and communication lists. The position also coordinates room reservations and provides logistical support for meetings, academic programs, and special events. In addition, the Administrative Coordinator processes purchasing and procurement transactions, prepares related documentation, and assists with facilities-related requests by coordinating with university service departments to ensure timely resolution of operational needs.
The Administrative Coordinator also supports personnel-related activities, including recruitment, onboarding, and training processes, while helping maintain a professional, customer-focused environment. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service in support of the Law School's mission. The incumbent performs a variety of additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Salary Details - Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.

Mid Range Salary - 73909.480

Minimum Education and Experience - Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, plus a minimum of two years relevant experience in higher education or related fields.
