Our Supervisors are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect and our employees that they lead.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesA true example in LeadershipEnsure quality services are provided to meet customer expectations and contract requirements by regularly inspecting, training, coaching, mentoring and leading security personnel assigned to the facility/buildingPerform operations related functions to include; scheduling, overtime management, review of daily logs and incident reports, training and development of staffProvide recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those staff members under his/her direct supervision.Maintain a professional demeanor, leading staff and aiding customers, employees, and guestsMaintain a visible presence in the facility / building assignedMonitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activityAnswer all phones in a professional mannerKnow the facility / building policies and procedures, lead and enforce them within positions limitsFollow and coordinate established emergency response, action planning and proceduresInitiate preliminary investigations into incidents and write reports to ensure accuracy of necessary documentationPrepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as requiredThe essential duties and responsibilities may differ by customer location assignedKnowledge and Skill RequirementsKnowledge, Skill Requirements and Qualifications:State or municipality mandated security officer licensesMinimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalentVerifiable and successful supervisory and advanced education and/or certifications preferredPrevious contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience is helpfulMust have reliable means of communication and transportationMust have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable periodStrong interpersonal communication skillsWrite routine correspondence, to include log entries, incident and reportingAbility to work in a fast paced, customer service environmentGood time management skills and the ability to prioritize and problem solveAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent computer skills including Microsoft OfficeCompensationHarvard Protection Services offers a competitive hourly pay rate with health & welfare, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401K enrollment benefit opportunities.About Harvard Protection Services:Harvard Protection Services maintains true to our long-standing belief, Employees First and Customer Service.
